Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, March 2014 - Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC welcomed 12 new TAROT (The Accelerated Refinement of Talent) participants as addition to their growing family. They were the 1st TAROT Batch, undergoing the Corporate TAROT LIFE Event, a specially designed three-day on-boarding experience. Part of the on-boarding was a cocktail reception at Park Rotana, Abu Dhabi, where all new TAROT participants had the chance to meet with the existing TAROT colleagues and get to know numerous Senior Rotana Leaders. At the same time, three TAROT colleagues graduated from the programme and are about to board on a new venture with Rotana. They were handed out their graduation certificates by the President and CEO, Mr. Omer Kaddouri along with other Corporate Vice Presidents of Rotana. The event was led by Rotana's Corporate Human Resources Team, including Corporate Vice President of Human Resources, Mr. Joseph Abou Yaghi, Associate Vice President of Human Resources, Ms. Anne Oberdoerster and Associate Vice President of Learning & Development, Mr. Tony Zeenny.

Called TAROT - the acronym of The Accelerated Refinement Of Talent - the programme targets ambitious graduates fresh out of college or university, as well as passionate existing high potential colleagues. Those selected for the programme are invited to embrace the Rotana culture wholeheartedly and embark on an 18-month accelerated development programme. These highly-driven students are then exposed to guided leadership development, in-depth operational exposure and receive mentoring from some of Rotana's top executives. Assessments take place throughout the programme, starting from the selection phase and continuing until graduation, with methods spanning psychometric and competency tests, as well as scorecard and project evaluation.
Once TAROT participants have graduated, they are placed in positions at one of 26 inspiring work destinations offered by Rotana. It goes without saying that once placed in a suitable role, their company training is ongoing through the many more tried-and-tested Human Resources initiatives Rotana has designed to keep its colleagues stimulated, passionate and importantly, dedicated to achieving both their own and the company's high ambitions.
TAROT's talent acquisition and development strategy is intrinsically linked to Rotanas overall strategic plan, ensuring tomorrow's workforce is employed and fostered today. It is only by cultivating and supporting raw talent now that Rotana can continue to grow without compromise.
