Mussels and Fries (or moules-frites in French) could very well be THE national dish of Belgium. And with a menu of traditional favourites, we couldn't leave this one out at Nelson's.
Sink your teeth into succulent mussels cooked and served the traditional way in a pot to retain its old world charm. Moules without frites (fries)? Unheard of in Belgium! Belgians eat their fries chunky and with mayonnaise but feel free to ask for tomato sauce and/or even tabasco. We don't frown on that at Nelson's.
Pair your meal with a crisp, cold pint of golden hops, or a sharp, dry glass of white.
TIP: Instead of using a fork to get those juicy mussels out of their shells, take one of those empty shells and use that instead.
