The 5-star Media Rotana, located in Barsha Heights, Dubai, has appointed Amal Ghosh as its new Director of Housekeeping.

With over 19 years of housekeeping experience in the Middle East and India, Amal is no stranger to Rotana, having previously been with the Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Art Rotana, Amwaj Island, in Bahrain.

A native of India, Amal first began his career in hospitality with a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management. A firm believer in using guests’ feedback and reviews as the top guiding tool for improvement and change, Amal ensures the highest standards of cleanliness reflected in top audit scores. Equally believing in self-improvement, he ensures to stay up to date with the latest training and educational courses.

A recipient of Employee of the Year awards several times over the course of his career, Amal takes an open approach to managing his team providing coaching and guidance to ensure that they too receive opportunities for growth much like he did.

In his new capacity, he will oversee the hygiene and cleanliness of the hotel’s 537 rooms and suites in addition to the laundry service, restaurants, executive lounge, meeting and recreational facilities as well as all public spaces.
