Salty meals: Recipes

Quesadillas

Ingredients:

  • 50g Chicken breast
  • 15g Sweet pepper
  • 15g Onion
  • 15g Mushroom
  • 20ml Soy sauce
  • 20ml Oil
  • 10g Cheddar cheese
  • 1pc Tortilla bread
  • Guacamole (on the side)
  • Sour cream (on the side)

 

Method:

  • Slice the chicken breast into slices
  • Peel and chop the vegetables into slices
  • Fry the onion, mushroom and peppers by the use of the pan
  • Fry the chicken for couple of minutes along with the vegetables
  • Add the sauce to vegetables and chicken
  • Finally add the cheddar cheese to the quesadillas
  • Roll the chicken quesadillas with the tortilla bread
  • Serve the chicken quesadillas along with the guacamole and sour cream.

 

Mediterranean Quinoa

Ingredients:

  • 75 g Quinoa
  • 30 g Tomato
  • 30 g Cucumber
  • 30 g Red sweet pepper
  • 50 g Avocado
  • 25 g Onion
  • 0.25 bunch Parsley
  • 3 Chicken Tawouk skewers
  • 50 g Feta cheese
  • 20 g Black olives
  • 50 g Lemon
  • 5 g Cumin and pepper
  • 1 g Garlic
  • 20 ml Olive oil

 

Method:

Salad:

  • Boil the quinoa for 10 minutes
  • Peel and chop the avocado besides chop the other vegetables into small cubes – Chop the parsley finely.
  • Slice the feta cheese into small cubes
  • Grill the Tawouk skewers for few minutes
  • Mix the quinoa with the vegetables and add the feta and chicken skewers to the salad

Dressing:

  • Squeeze the lemon and mince the garlic well.
  • Besides mix the lemon, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper and whisk well.
  • Add the dressing on top of the salad

 

Chow Mein

Ingredients:

  • 150 g Egg noodles
  • 40 ml Oil
  • 5 g Garlic
  • 5 g Ginger
  • 15 g Onion
  • 15 g Carrot
  • 15 g Sweet pepper
  • 10 Leeks
  • 5 g Chili paste
  • 10 ml Soy sauce
  • 20 g Oyster sauce

 

Method:

  • Wash the noodles for couple of minutes.
  • Peel and chop the vegetables into fine slices
  • Add the oil, chili paste, soya and oyster sauce to the noodles and vegetables
  • Stir fry the noodles and vegetables by the use of the pan
  • Garnish the plate with coriander leaves

 

Steamed Fish

Ingredients:

  • 250 g Hammour fish fillet
  • 10 g Ginger
  • 10 g Garlic
  • Coriander Leaves
  • 5 g Green onion
  • 20 ml Soya sauce

 

Method:

  • Place the fish in an oven tray
  • Peel and chop the garlic and ginger
  • Add the garlic, ginger and onion to the fish
  • Add the soya sauce to the fish
  • Steam the fish by the use of the oven for 15 minutes
  • Serve the fish and decorate with the spring onion and coriander leaves
