Erbil, Kurdistan, Iraq - January, 2019, Erbil Rotana held a blood donating campaign as part of its corporate social responsibility. For the duration of one day, staff members of the hotel were able to provide blood donations to Erbil Center for Blood Transfusion.
Directorate of Blood Bank sent their doctors to Erbil Rotana, where the hotel’s staff were informed on the effects and benefits of blood donations through a simplified presentation. The employees were also briefed on the importance of this medical procedure and how it contributes to saving lives of those carrying blood diseases, as well as those who need blood during surgery.
Overall, a total of 76 staff members contributed to the cause by donating their blood which will be used to help current and future patients in need, proving the campaign to be a success.
