Downtown Rotana Treats Media to an Exquisite Iftar

Manama, Bahrain, 21st May 2018: Downtown Rotana, the luxury five-star hotel located in the heart of Bahrain’s capital Manama, hosted members of the media and social media to an exquisite iftar meal at its beautifully-decorated Al Maha Ballroom. Over 55 media and social media guests were treated to a wide selection of traditional and international delicacies complemented by the mesmerising tunes of the Oud player and the warm embrace of the Arabian hospitality which defines all Rotana properties and leaves a lasting memory of the authentic Ramadan experience.

Downtown Rotana offers a daily iftar served at the Al Maha Tent featuring an extensive buffet with a wide selection of traditional Ramadan and international dishes, fresh juices and Arabic deserts, for only BD 13++. Children from 6 to 12 years old will get 50% discount and kids under the age of 6 eat for free.
The hotel’s Al Maha Ballroom, has been transformed with tradition in mind, featuring a white and gold Arabesque haven, decorative archways, large ornamental lanterns, and unique geometric designs.
Downtown Rotana offers a range of mouthwatering options for their Iftar buffet from the Ramadan juices such as the refreshing Kamer Al Din Apricot juice, Jalab made of date blossom, Tamarind and Laban, to the sweet ending of delicious pastries, cakes, chocolates and fruits and of course the Halawa Souk which features a selection of the most famous Arabic delights. The buffet is divided into different sections presenting Oriental mezzah, cold and hot appetizers, salads, soups, Grills, a carving station, Indian Flavours, Asian Flavours and Arabian Flavours featuring the tempting Lamb Ouzi with the traditional condiments,as well as other popular dishes such as saffron prawns, kofta patties and chicken briyani. The live cooking stations bring a lively atmosphere to the venue and offer exciting options such as the Saj Manakish and the Falafel station.
