Presenting fantastic sightseeing spots for travelers and residents alike, the sweeping curve that is the Abu Dhabi corniche lands a spot on the must-see list! The Corniche consists of a waterfront that stretches for 8 kilometres and houses options for recreation, leisure and entertainment.



The corniche beach is the main attraction and stretches from the corniche road along Al Khaleej Al Arabi street where visitors can enter. The beach features three distinct sections for singles, families and the general public which ensures safety for all its visitors. It has also been awarded the Blue Flag status certifying that the beach has clean and safe bathing water.

The corniche boasts of excellently landscaped gardens with fountains strategically located along major walkways and entrances. You can also sit at one of the many benches and take in views of the calm turquoise waters.

•The corniche is well connected to some of the major destinations as well as the business centre of Abu Dhabi.
•The Corniche beach features a lifeguarded beach park.
•The Abu Dhabi corniche is considered as a premium housing location, and some of the most luxurious apartments can be found in building facing it.
•The area was re-furbished only just recently to better meet the needs of its visitors.

The corniche also has a long cycling track that runs alongside the corniche road. One can frequently spot cycling enthusiasts pedaling down the track. Should you be visiting, you can also hire your own mountain or city bike from three cycle rental stations. Cycling is a healthy way to burn a few calories while taking in the scenic beauty of the corniche road.

The wakeboarding beginners park is an excellent spot for wakeboarding enthusiasts to catch a wave or two and get some advice from experts in the field.


The Corniche regularly hosts several major events such as the free Yasalam concerts, the world of music, art and dance (WOMAD) and the Volvo ocean race.
