To kick off the festive season Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana hosted a carnival themed fun day event for students of Special Care Centre, Abu Dhabi on 1st December.
Established in 1989, Special Care Center is a non-profit school for children with special needs including down’s syndrome, autism and attention deficit hyperactive disorder.
To create a positive social experience for the students, Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana organized entertainment including a hilarious gob-smacking magician, a face painter, an energetic clown and a special cupcake decoration class hosted by Al Maha Arjaan’s pastry chefs. To end the day on a positive note, our general manager, Mr. Sherif Madkour, gifted personalized carnival themed notebooks and rubber stacks with each student’s names.
Mr. Madkour states: “Just spending the day with this children brightened my day and made me realize their potential for so much more. All they need is warmth, direction and appreciation.”
Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana will be following the footsteps of sister properties Villa, Rihab and Rimal Rotana and starting an F&B Cares Internship program in 2015 for special needs teenagers to motivate and inspire them to build a hospitality career.
Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana has consistently given back to the community over the last three years, participating in over 10 CSR efforts every year ranging from environmental issues such as World Water Week or motivating staff to partake in the Terry Fox Run.
